Call the principal’s office at the nearest Title I school. Say: “I have one hour a week. What do you need?” They will have an answer before you finish the sentence.

Pitfalls

Don't commit to "whenever I can." Pick one day, one hour, and keep it.
Don't make it about academic outcomes. Make it about showing up.
Don't disappear without telling them. Send a card if you have to stop.
