Texting Guide — by 45 Book Summaries

One number runs all four programs, and you steer every one of them by text. No login, no form, no app. Here's every word it understands.

Text

(737) 373-2281

Forget all of this and text MENU — you'll get the short list back, built around the programs you're actually in.

How a command is put together

Name the program, say what you want, add the value. That's it:

GRATITUDE TIME 7am

Leave the program name off and it applies to whatever you're running, so plain PROFILE shows all of it and plain PAUSE holds all of it. Case doesn't matter. Neither does punctuation.

The same nine verbs, on all four programs

VerbWhat it does
PROFILESee what’s set, and where you are in it
NOWSend this week’s or today’s text right away
UPDATEChange one setting β€” see each program below
TIMEChange the hour a daily text arrives (the two daily programs)
SKIPSkip only the next one
PAUSEStop the texts and keep your place
RESUMEStart the texts again where you left off
RESTARTErase your answers and start from the beginning again. The setup questions come back, exactly as a new signup gets them, and your history stays saved
OFFLeave this one program, keep the others

Works anywhere, any time

Text thisWhat happens
MENUWhich programs you’re in, where each one stands, and the short list of what you can text them. It’s the word on the bottom of every text, so it works from anywhere β€” including when you can’t remember which programs are yours.
PROFILEEvery program you’re in. In just one? The whole record for it β€” every setting, and what’s still blank.
PAUSEStops everything. Nothing sends until you text RESUME. Your place is saved.
RESUMEStarts it all again, picking up where you left off.
HELPThe same thing MENU gives. It’s a carrier keyword, so your phone company answers it first with its own line about rates and STOP β€” which means HELP costs you two texts and MENU costs one.
STOPEnds every message from this number. One confirmation, then silence.
STARTTurns texts back on after a STOP.

30-Day Gratitude Journal

One prompt a day for thirty days. Text back three good things and you get a short reflection.

Text thisWhat happens
GRATITUDEWhere you are in the thirty days, plus what you can text.
GRATITUDE PROFILEEverything saved about you here, and how to change any of it.
GRATITUDE TIME 7amChanges the hour your daily prompt arrives. Any format works β€” 7am, 8:30pm, 19:00. Add a zone if we guessed wrong: TIME 7am ET. Text TIME on its own and we’ll ask what time you want.
GRATITUDE NOWSends today’s prompt right now instead of waiting. The one that was coming won’t double up.
GRATITUDE SKIPSkips only the next prompt. Nothing else moves, and you don’t lose a day.
GRATITUDE PAUSEStops the prompts and keeps your place.
GRATITUDE RESUMEStarts the prompts again at the day you were on. Also the fix if prompts quietly stopped arriving.
GRATITUDE RECAPSends a summary of your last few entries right now, instead of waiting for the weekly one.
GRATITUDE RESTARTErases your settings and starts from the beginning again, back to day 1 of thirty. Your name and your prompt time reset to the defaults, so you set them again the way a new signup does. Your old entries stay saved.
GRATITUDE OFFLeaves this program only. Your other texts keep coming. Plain STOP ends every program at once.

Your journal entry is safe

Real answers start with command words all the time. "Time with my kids" is a gratitude entry. "Menu planning finally clicked" is a gratitude entry. So a command word on its own only counts as a command when it's the whole message, or when a program name comes first.

When something's genuinely ambiguous, we ask instead of guessing. And if a command doesn't take, nothing changes — you'll get a reply telling you what shape it wanted.

Leaving

These programs are free. Message and data rates may apply. Each program is a separate sign-up — joining one is never joining another. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service, and every tool on this site works in full without a phone number.
